SFI Health Supplements Australia
SFI Health is a global natural healthcare company with a long-standing Australian presence, best known here through its probiotic and standardised herbal ranges supplied largely via pharmacies and practitioners. Its catalogue is narrow by design: multi-strain probiotic formulas, including the Ther-Biotic line, and herbal extracts prepared to a fixed specification rather than sold as generic plant powders.
What sets SFI Health apart is that it supplies the specific preparation that was studied, not an ingredient that matches on paper. Probiotics are named down to the individual strain code, and herbal products are standardised to a measured marker compound, so the thing you take can be matched to the thing that was tested. That suits people who want to know exactly which strain or extract is in the capsule, and who may be comparing it against other probiotic options on something more useful than a CFU number.
| Product Range | Primary Application |
|---|---|
| Ther-Biotic probiotics | Daily multi-strain bacterial and yeast support for ongoing digestive balance |
| BioRenew probiotics | Short-course support taken alongside and after a course of antibiotics |
| Legalon standardised herbal | Ongoing liver support using a milk thistle extract standardised to silymarin |
The useful thing to understand about this brand is how much of its value sits in the label detail rather than the headline numbers.
The SFI Health range at Fairfield Nutrition
| Product | Best For | Key Ingredient(s) |
|---|---|---|
| SFI Health Ther-Biotic BioDaily – 30 capsules | Ongoing daily use where the goal is general digestive balance rather than a short intervention | Saccharomyces cerevisiae (boulardii), Lactobacillus plantarum LP01 and Bifidobacterium strains |
| SFI Health Antibiotic BioRenew – 15 capsules | A defined short course taken during and immediately after a course of antibiotics | Saccharomyces cerevisiae (boulardii) 10 billion CFU with Bifidobacterium animalis |
| SFI Health Legalon for Liver Health – 60 capsules | Steady, longer-term liver support where a specified extract strength is preferred over a generic herb | Silybum marianum (milk thistle) fruit extract, standardised to 140 mg silymarin per capsule |
The two probiotics answer different questions. BioDaily is built for repetition over weeks or months, while BioRenew is a 15-capsule course matched to the length of a typical antibiotic prescription and is not intended as a daily staple. Legalon sits on a separate axis altogether: it is a herbal extract for liver support, chosen when you want a known silymarin content rather than an unspecified milk thistle powder, and it can run alongside either probiotic. All three come as capsules, so format is not part of the decision here.
Why shop SFI Health at Fairfield Nutrition
We don’t stock everything – we stock what we’d use. SFI Health products are stocked at Fairfield because the company supplies the exact preparations behind its research rather than ingredient-level equivalents, which makes them easy to recommend precisely and easy to repeat without guesswork.
Strain-level and extract-level labelling is the practical reason these formulas earned a place in the range. When someone returns to a probiotic after six months, or wants to compare what they took last year against what they are taking now, a named strain code gives them something to check. A label that says only “Lactobacillus, 10 billion CFU” does not.
Legalon is here for the same reason in herbal form. Milk thistle is sold at wildly varying strengths, and a product specified to a measured silymarin content per capsule removes the main unknown when you are deciding how much you are actually taking. Everything ships from Melbourne. No international delays, no customs surprises. If something’s out of stock, we tell you.
