Dosage
- Adults: To reduce occurrence of travellers diarrhoea symptoms: 2 capsules once or twice daily
- To maintain healthy digestive function: 1 capsule twice daily
- Children 2 months – 17 years: 1 capsule daily
- For children unable to swallow mix capsule contents with a small amount of food of liquid and consume immediately
Warnings
- Not recommended in immunocompromised or critically ill patients
- Patients with long-term dysbiosis may need to start at a lower dose
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, talk to your health professional before use
- Patients with true (IgE-mediated) yeast allergy may be allergic to products containing S. boulardii
- If diarrhoea persists for more than 6 hours in infants under 6 months, 12 hours in children under 3 years, 24 hours in children aged 3 years-6 years, or 48 hours in adults and children over 6 years, seek medical attention
- Dietary supplements should not replace a balanced diet
