Question 1

Why this formulation and how does it work?

Accepted Answer

UltraFlora Immune Control contains two named strains: Lactobacillus rhamnosus (LGG®) and Lactobacillus paracasei (LP-33®). LGG® is a trademark of Chr. Hansen A/S. LP-33® is identified by Metagenics as the strain included at 5 billion CFU per capsule. Together, these two strains provide 25 billion CFU per capsule.
The product supports healthy immune system function and helps maintain intestinal beneficial flora. It helps reduce symptoms of mild allergies, hayfever, and allergic rhinitis, and is associated with anti-inflammatory activity. These are the claims this product makes, and they apply to both adults and adolescents.
The capsule is vegan (hypromellose shell) and free from dairy protein, lactose, eggs, nuts, and soy protein. Excipients include maltodextrin, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, and sodium ascorbate. The formula requires refrigeration to maintain viable bacterial counts through to the end of pack.
